When you have an ATV (all-terrain vehicle), you want to spend your time during the spring and summer enjoying the amazing weather throughout Ontario. In the Greater Toronto Area, there are plenty of hot spots to give your ATV and ATV trailers a chance to work for you! Here are some of our favorites places to go off-roading by yourself (safely) or with friends and family.

Ganaraska Forest

This woodsy area is a short distance from the city of Toronto, and is a splendid location to takea spin on your ATV. The Ganaraska Forest offers more than one-hundred kilometers of trails and logging roads. The scenery will take your breath away; it’s definitely a must-see for ATV enthusiasts! Plan to pay about $30 per adult and $10 per child for the ride of your life!

Georgian Bay

Take a ride to Georgian Bay, where you’ll get the best of both the water and forest. Though not particularly challenging for the ATV rider who is looking for thrills, Georgian Bay is ideal for novices. It’s a nice introduction to the sport of ATV riding, or for a group of people with varying degrees of ATV experience.

Haliburton

Again, you’ll need to hop in your vehicle and tow your ATV to Haliburton if you live in the GTA, but we promise that it’s not too far. Plus, you’ll have your run of 1,000+ miles of trails and off-roading possibilities. Each day you spend in Haliburton will be unique from the last – that’s a promise!

Cochrane

Looking for ATVing that goes beyond the humdrum? Cochrane is close to Toronto, and is very challenging. You’ll be a part of wilderness at its finest as you drive through the forests and puddles. Wear something that’s washable, because you’ll come back dirty… and loving every minute of your Cochrane adventure.
